Too Big - Will Not Fit in My Flashlight Jan 11, 2009
By G. Cox
"Shanghaied"
Useless if they will not fit into a flashlight. I compared the diameter to a regular C battery. Clearly, these sdapters are substantially larger in diameter. Really, if you were designing a battery adapter, wouldn't about the first thing you would do is buy a couple of standard C batteries for size reference? So, I bought some regular Alkaline C batteries and they slipped into the flashlight with the greatest of ease. Now I'm stuck with ten adapters that are worthless. So, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere to find an adapter.

Tenergy C to AA adapter shells Apr 24, 2009
By m2hb As the first reviewer states, these Tenergy AA to C adapter shells are too large to fit conveniently into a C Maglite. I tried these shells in both an old version (pre-2001) and new version (serial number beginning with the letter "C") C Maglite. The adapters need a fair amount of force to push them in and they are very hard to get out again. It might be possible to get the adapters to fit by removing the shiny wrapper, but doing so leaves a lot of adhesive, which causes the adapters to stick. If one can come up with an effective way of cleaning the adhesive off of the plastic, this workaround might be effective.
In comparison, some Eneloop adapters I have fit both of my Maglites with ease.

10 pcs C-shell Battery Adapters for AA batteries Mar 20, 2010
By OldFart These work great. They will save you money that's for sure. Great deal can not beat it.
Not sure if it is made exactly to C battery specs; don't buy May 07, 2010
By Like 'Tronics I bought these shells since I have an electronic item that needed 8 C batteries. When I put 8 shells in instead, I need to work really hard to get them in place and use pliers to get them out.
I'm not sure if these shells are perfectly made or if the electronic item was not well made to provide sufficient space.
Each time I use pliers to get the shells out, the shells get worn out or damaged a little since they are made of plastic.
Latest update - Mar 3, 2011. I have not used these shells much and as we were moving I threw them away. I would recommend you don't buy OR you buy only if you are sure there is enough space/some margin for error.
