Belkin Cat 6 50ft cable Jan 27, 2008
By Stephan Dorscat Bought this 50ft Category 6 patch cable made by belkin from Parts Express, the cable showed up at my house in 3 days and for around $7 its the best deal online and I could not be happier. I use this cable to connect my XBOX 360 to my modem and it works flawlessly, can't ask for much else.

Don't Really Need CAT6 but I Splurged May 25, 2009
By jt Cable works fine. I'm not really impressed with the wing flaps on each side of the connector tab they use to prevent snags as I think it can get pressed down and leave the tab open to catch on something. I would have preferred a cover over the tab. Otherwise, the cable works fine. Note that for almost everyone at home CAT6 is only relevant if you have a router that has gigabit ports and only for transferring of data between other wired devices/computers. It should not have any effect over a standard high speed internet connection as some reviews seem to pro port. Even online gaming (unless through LAN) will not be boosted. I did an easy speed test (speakeasy) with this cable and another CAT5 and there was no difference. Otherwise, it works just fine for the internet and great for data transfers between the multiple wired computers.

50FT CAT6 Black Patch Cable Snagless RJ45M/RJ45M: Review Jul 03, 2007

As soon as I got this in the mail, I immediately set it up to test it out and all I can say is, nothing but perfection when it comes to this cable. Of course I didn't know that much about Network Cables but once I asked around everyone said go with CAT6 type of Network Cable. So I search and got a GREAT deal(Thanks To Parts Express) and couldn't be happier.
Now, please keep in mind that the only reason why I am using this type of Networking Cable is because I have it hooked up to my PS3 and my Xbox360 for online gaming. And believe me, it works perfectly with no lag or Connection Errors.
And with that being said, I would only recommend this type of Network Cable for people who plan to use it for: - High Speed Internet Applications - Online Gaming - Streaming audio and video - Home or small office networking
Great deal AND a great buy!!

It's not even made of copper Dec 02, 2011
By John I bought this cable to run down a wall and punch down to a jack. After cutting off the end and running it down the wall I discovered while attempting to punch it down that not only are the wires inside very very fragile but they aren't even made of copper. They're braided aluminum or some other white metal. I never got it to properly punch down to a jack. After several attempts the wires kept breaking. I decided to put a new RJ45 end on the cable. This also took several tries but I eventually got a new end on it without breaking the fragile and thin wires inside. UTP Ethernet cable is suppose to be made out of solid, single strand copper and not braided aluminum. This is not copper. By a very thin stretch can this cable be defined as an UTP Ethernet cable. I have not tested it at a full 1Gb yet but I'll be very surprised if it can support it. If you just need a patch cable I'm sure it'll do OK. But, if you are buying this expecting it to be a high quality cable for any other purpose choose a different cable. Don't tug on it too hard you'll ruin it.
