Pleasantly Surprised for the Price Sep 14, 2009

I installed this unit in my Crownline 266 CCR to replace the failed factory TAPE deck...lol.
Easy to install, great sound, solid construction, the included remote wiring easily made it to my swim platform where I installed it for easy access when socializing behind the boat at the sand bar.
One feature I was pleasantly surprised to see that isn't really mentioned in the documentation on line or in the manual is that even if you cut power to this unit completely (like disconnecting the battery or using a battery switch,) the unit remembers all your settings and stations. VERY nice feature to have on a boat that is stored during the week and used on the weekends.
Over all...very happy with this purchase and recommend it for anyone looking to buy. The price here was as much as I could find it for re-firbed on EBay.
PS...BOSS Marin equipment is made by Jenson.

Rocks the boat! Jun 24, 2008
By J. L. DeLong I purchased this stereo from amazon a month ago and could be happier! We installed it on our boat and its awesome! especially having the remote to control the volume without having to get hit in the head by the glove box everytime is a plus! Installation was a bit challenging but well worth it, sounds great! Love it!
Great Value Aug 26, 2011
By Kujo I cannot believe how nice of a deck this is for the money. I also bought the speakers for it by BOSS and the whole system works wonderfully. I installed them on a 24' pontoon boat and the sound quality is very good and very loud. I do not have any cons as of yet but will update if I run into problems. I use a powered high quality radio antannae and have no issues with signal. CD's play wonderfully as well. Installation was very easy.
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR!!! Dec 17, 2010
By Bill Did some research and settled on this unit based on what seemed to be the best combination of functionality versus cost. So far, I'm more than pleased with my choice.
Installation was straightforward. Wired remote is a BIG plus--bolted to a dashboard where it can't bounce around and get lost/damaged like so many other things in a boat... Lovin the fact that I can plug in the MP3 player and rock out to my own mix (who needs radio stations with their quacking DJ's and commercials!!!).
I suppose that my next one (10 years from now, I hope) can have bluetooth and access the 1000 songs that I'll have on my super-smart phone without me plugging anything in (maybe I'll have a super-smart phone by then, 'cause they'll be cheap). Till then, what I've got serves me well, and still left enough money in the bank account to buy boat gas...
I'm at the end of my first season with this, so the jury's still out on longevity, but as of now, I'm more than pleased with this stereo for my boat! Enjoy!
Might last you ONLY for a year if you're lucky!! Aug 04, 2010
By JK I'm on my second one and sure enough like clock work it only lasted me less than a year having the static same problem with my FM Radio. Value is great but longevity isn't! Hope this helps..
