Great batteries, decent price Sep 30, 2008
By midnight821 Not much to say about the batteries. They are Energizer and the brand certainly meets everyone's expectations. My batteries were received and the date on the package was well in advance, so no complaints here.
However, the price is a bit above average. If you are ordering for convenience fine. But if you want the best deal, you will likely need to go to your local discount store. The local store usually runs about $.70 per battery or less when purchased in bulk (more than 4). At the current Amazon price ($13.95), that comes out to about $.85 per battery.

Regardless of what its chief competitors tout about their respective products, I've been satisfied for many years with the performance of Energizer batteries. They are long-lasting and are priced just right for the thrift-conscious shopper.
They do "keep going and going and going..."

Saving myself from driving to the store Aug 31, 2008
By Charles L. Gilmore III I thought this was a decent, prudent purchase, for it saved and saves me from having to drive to the store. Now of course, I could have searched for cheaper prices, but nothing to me beat Amazon Prime, and I am going to take advantage of it until I am either broke, or my computer stops working...(ha). Thanks Amazon.

Cheap batteries. Jan 13, 2009
By Mervlin P. Eleazar Did a Google search for a 16 pack of AA batteries and found this deal. The batteries didn't come in the blister pack shown in the image, but they did come in 4 small genuine Energizer cardboard boxes. I'm not sure if that affects shelf-life, but I guess I'll find out.

I used to get rechargeables, but rechargeables are a hassle and get weaker and weaker over time. These Energizers work great for me. I always remember reading about what 1 Consumer Reports article said, all batteries are pretty much the same. Your best deal? Get whatever's on sale, that way you get the most for your buck. So I always get large packs as they cost the least per unit.
