I used this module to control an electric water heater with a timer program from X10. I modified it so I could install it inline with the appliance wiring. Its been working flawlessly and I'm saving a ton on electric bills. The only thing that would make this better is for it to respond to 2 way status polling - but I guess that would up the price considerably. Not quite sure how long this will last as the cam actuator is plastic though it does look sturdy.
