Great value for the money, came with an expiration date of 3/2014 and they each measured between 9.44 to 9.47 volts. Box of batteries came packaged in a cardboard wrapping that provided adequate protection, similar to the packaging used when you order a single videogame/dvd/cd. Question that remains is, how is the usage/shelf life?

Completely satisfied. Timely delivery and perform as advertised. Because of the temperature range of the batteries . they can be used under adverse conditions.

The box in the picture was flimsy and mine came torn, but each battery is protected with a plastic cover. Grabbing my step ladder, I placed each battery in a smoke detector, leaned one ear onto my shoulder, covered my other ear with my hand and hit the reset button. I was pleasantly surprised to find they all worked flawlessly the first time. Once my ears stopped ringing, I listened carefully to make sure there was no more of that infernal chirping. Silence. A few months later and none have failed. This may all sound like what you expect from a set of batteries, but you can do worse. Much worse.
A few months ago I purchased a 20 pack of generic 9 volt batteries as a proactive measure for my smoke detectors. Some of the batteries didn't work at all, others had their heads fall off while others gave up the ghost at 2:00 am making me crawl out of bed to squelch the chirping. All of the batteries failed completely within a few weeks.
If you would rather not be awoken in the middle of the night and forced to rip a smoke detector off your ceiling, do yourself a favor and get a set of these batteries.

these batteries are awesome, lasted very long and by far cheaper than at your local store! I used 12 of them for my "Tron" Halloween costume that was made from similar materials as original and by my calculations batteries supposed to last only 1.5-2 hours, they lasted at least 3 hours. so not sure if it was my calculations or good quality batteries but i am pretty good at math.

9v batteries are so expensive at the store. i was able to replace all the batteries in my smoke detectors for a fraction of the cost by ordering online.
