Doesn't work when there's no neutral Aug 11, 2010

After doing some research, I found out that these types of on/off switches do not work in housing where the wiring does not have a neutral. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the switch in houses with updated wiring.

The switch works fine. You have to know what you need before you order it, whether you use a matching or coordinating remote depends on whether you have a ground wire in your switch, so check and read the instructions (available online) before ordering.
