Controls ALL of the TV functions. Feb 08, 2011

I have had years of experience with this device and am purchasing a second. I have a large Mitsubishi TV with a complicated remote control (that died) and this is the ONLY remote I found that can handle ALL TV functions which include menus and sub-menus which most replacement remotes cannot handle. However, these functions are vital since they control numerous audio video functions as well as esoteric functions such as "convergence" of the 3 large lamps that produce the back lit picture. Without a remote these functions are nearly impossible to do, correctly, through the buttons on the set. If it controlled only this one device, it would be well worth the very low price. Think about this when you believe your original remote is too complicated to duplicate.

Meets the basic "couch potato" standard. Was easy to program and transmits well. One problem when using dvd player is some keys don't match the command. For example: play key = stop, pause = play, and stop key = pause. Other keys seem to match up with the command. We've gotten used to it but still awkward at times.
