Good cable but not for VGA ports without screws Dec 14, 2008
By Subramanian Sailappan The cable is of very good quality though a little bulky. I had no problems connecting the audio and my computer doesnt have the 2 ports next to each other. However, if your VGA port doesnt have screws to fasten the cable it is going to be very difficult to hold this in. The head of the cable is pretty bulky and heavy and without screw terminals, it falls off very easily.

Big ol' cable Nov 02, 2009
By JW I can't remember the last time I saw a VGA cable as thick as this one; this is a big ol' sucker. It's built solid and tough, complete with ferrites on each end and screw-down connectors (and I would highly recommend that you screw it onto to your HDTV's connector due to its weight).
Some reviewers said the audio cable didn't reach the output port on their laptops. They must have humongous laptops; I have a 15.4" Toshiba Satellite, and there is no problem connecting both the VGA and audio output ports (the VGA output is located on the left side toward the rear, and the audio output is located just slightly right of center in the front), and it would easily connect if the two ports were on opposite corners.
Another reviewer said that if your laptop didn't have a VGA port with screw-down capability, the cable was too heavy and would disconnect itself. My laptop does not have screw-down ability, but I have not had any problem with the cable disconnecting.
This is a very high-quality cable at a very reasonable price, and 15ft is plenty long enough for most applications (easily extends from the TV to the bed or sofa).

Best value Apr 12, 2009
By Tree Fiddy This is a well-made cable that includes ferrites on both ends to prevent interference (only one of the included pictures actually shows them). A previous reviewer mentioned the ends being a bit heavy, but anyone who's used a VGA cable in the past won't be surprised because it's no different than all the rest. I use it for a 1080P image on my 40" LCD. The signal is perfect with no apparent losses from the laptop despite the length, but I'll admit to being skeptical before ordering. The 2 ft audio cable is plenty long to reach the other side of a laptop if needed. This definitely beats overpaying and getting much less at a major retailer.

Great invention Feb 18, 2009
By J. Suarez I use this to connect a Dell laptop to a 42 inch 1080p Panasonic plasma. The picture quality is great. The fact that it is a single cable for the length of the run gives it a neat appearence. The cable for the mini jack allows enough room for it to reach the headphone jack and the video output on my laptop even though they are not on the same side of the laptop. The cable for the mini jack comes out of the connector. The cable has a good quality feel to it.

for panasonic t46g10 Dec 02, 2009
By randy I purchased this hoping to bypass the need for a netflix streaming device and it works. I hooked it up to a Panasonic t46g10 plasma. this is what I found after much experimentation using Windows xp and a dell computer. 1. hook up the monitor to both the vga video output on the cpu and then to the tv first. 2. turn on the computer. It should automatically recognize the secondary monitor. 3. Go to display in Control Panel. Click on 'settings'. Note the 'apply settings to this monitor.' Check box after highlighting the 2nd monitor option. Then check 'use this monitor as primary.' 4. Test whether monitor has been recognized by going to a website[ I used yahoo] and click on any video. The video should start streaming to the tv. The sound should be audible on your pc speakers. 5. The video settings for both computer monitor and tv should be the same. 6. The mouse should display its function on the tv as it would on the computer monitor. You should therefore be able to access favorites or for that matter type 'netflix' in the search field. Then it is a simple matter of highlighting whatever movie you want.
