Great S-Video Cable if Six Feet is Long Enough May 29, 2010
By JA We purchased 3, 6, and 12 foot lengths of S-video cable because of our equipment arrangement and let me add that the best all around cable we found was this one. The 3 foot Belkin PureAV AV22101-03 3-Foot S-Video and Audio Cable Kit is a very good quality cable but its stiffness combined with the short length makes it pretty tricky to install - it is easy for the S-video connector to get backed out of one device or the other when you push your player or recorder back into the cabinet or shelf after connecting the cable to the rear of each unit; although once you have both ends firmly in place it is an excellent cable. And our units sit on one under the other on shelves! The Cables To Go - 02310 - 12ft Value S-Video / RCA Audio Combination Cable is a decent quality cable if you need the 12 foot length, but it is not the quality of the other two. As I said, the best bet if 6 feet is enough is this S-video/composite Video & Stereo Audio Cable. It has the quality of the 3 foot cable but enough length that installing the cable to your player or recorder and then replacing it in your Entertainment Center won't be nearly as difficult.

Great if you still need S-video capability Jan 02, 2010
By T. Hartman These cables are of outstanding quality from a reputable major brand. They work great, with no discernible interference. They appear to be of very sturdy construction.
S-video cables fit loosely but does the job well for the price Jan 16, 2012
By vampcat I bought 3 of these and they work well enough when the S-video cables stay connected. They fit loosely and fall out easily. I tested the cables in various jacks and the S-video fit was consistently loose. Otherwise, the cables are sufficiently flexible and the audio cables fit securely. For the price, they are good. Just leave all components in one spot and stay away from the cables. If the S-video fit is a real issue, the price is low enough to justify buying a separate S-video cable to replace it.
Saved me from buying a Time Base Corrector Apr 12, 2011
By Sam I thought I needed a Time Base Corrector at first to transfer analog videos from my Camcorder. I was getting lost frames during capture. Then I thought, maybe its the cables and decided to try these instead. I hooked them to my capture card and my Camcorder and it works. So far I'm not getting any lost frames. I think that shielded cables are better than the regular ones because they keep interference or static out while maintaining a good signal.
Philips makes the best connectors Feb 14, 2011
By Ian Andrew Have purchased Philips connectors in the past and still do. They are simply the best! Good price on Amazon too makes it a winning combination!
