Adapter Jul 06, 2010
By Matthew W Deming Normally I don't write reviews, but for this item I felt compelled. The item received was not like the one pictured on the product page. Much more similar to: http://www.amazon.com/USB-Female-Mini-Male-Adapter/dp/B0016RNX2I/ref=pd_cp_e_2 Essentially its a plug (no cord). It works, but requires the use of another USB cord to connect devices.
Im not going to hassle with shipping it back, but if your heart's set on the item pictured, I'd look elsewhere.

Does what it should Mar 10, 2008

I bought this to connect a Sony Cybershot DSCW55 7.2MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver) to a Nokia N800 Portable Internet Tablet so pictures could be transfered and uploaded to a server elsewhere in the world. It made the connection and allowed the files to be transfered, no PC needed. SWEET!
What else would you ask for?

Used to upgrade my Sceptre TV Feb 14, 2008

This inexpensive adapter worked perfectly to upgrade the firmware on my Sceptre X42-GV Komodo TV. I plugged in a FAT formatted USB stick into this adapter and then this adapter went into the mini USB port of the TV. New firmware was obtained from Scepter tech support and correct instructions from a forum (Scepter tech support gave me wrong instructions).
This adapter should work with other products too where you need to connect a USB flash drive to a mini-usb connector.
Side note - I was happy with the TV before the FW upgrade - and now - Very Happy after the FW upgrade.
serves it's purpose Nov 12, 2009
By Wayne E. Peterson I havent had to use this product much but it did serve it's purpose and fairly inexpensive.
it worked for me Jan 28, 2009

It worked for me as a charging adapter, but it is too bulky, which is why I rated it down. It would be interesting to see a 90 degree offset adapters like this one, or one with a short wire or retractable cord. I think that I would now prefer the latter instead, which are available on site.
