X-10 Powerhouse Wall Outlet Model SR227

SKU:

QS-7YP0-LOC6

This product is currently out of stock
Description:

To get X10 control for plug-in appliances with a custom built-in look simply replace your existing receptacles with these. Bottom outlet behaves like a regular non-controlled outlet. Top outlet responds to X10 commands just like a 3-pin appliance module. Responds to ON/OFF and ALL UNITS OFF. Does not respond to ALL LIGHTS ON or DIM/BRIGHT commands. Local manual override is possible. With manual override, when the receptacle is off turn the attached appliance/light off then back on, the receptacle senses the OFF and ON cycle and forces the receptacle on. Very handy when you are not near an X10 transmitter. White only.

Features:
  • Works with X-10 Controllers & Timers

  • Replaces existing wall outlet - No special wiring!

  • Top outlet is X10 controlled, Bottom outlet is always on

Used this to control my landscape lighting while having a uncontrolled outlet available. Works flawlessly with my wireless x-10 receiver.

5X10 Outlet  Sep 06, 2010
By Ransom Park "ranger keith"
I bought one of these split outlet X10 receptacles to control a plug-in room deodorizer, the kind that alternately heats two different scented oils. That way it's only on when I have room lamps on, and the twin oil cartridge lasts much longer. The split feature on the X10 receptacle is very handy. The top outlet is switched, the bottom outlet is always on. The only drawback is, these modules are larger than a typical outlet. There are three short wires coming from the module, and you use wire nuts (included) to connect them to the power wires inside the outlet box. In my case, I installed it into a 'remodeling" box (two screws on the front work clamps which hold the box into the wall opening), and it just did fit with the wire connections tucked behind the module. If there are a lot of wires in the box, or if you have a small or substandard box, this X10 module may not fit. Other than that, it works perfectly for what I wanted.

1RELAY PROBLEM [ IT BREAKS!!!!!! ]  Feb 07, 2012
By Be Happy "BoatingNut"
I took mine apart when it failed after 2 months.
There is a plastic part in the relay mechanism which will break and render the receptacle useless.
The part is very lightly/poorly made.
The INSTEON AC receptacle might be a better choice.

5Great Product  Nov 09, 2011

Purchased as a replace to existing X-10 unit. I am very happy with this electrical device and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys remote control of plug-in devices. Note: requires additional transmitter.

4SR227 Outlet ... easy install well built  Oct 19, 2011
By Mike
Very simple install, standard size. The only thing I could find wrong is a slightly loud click when the X10 part of the receptacle is turned on or off.
