No problems Jun 05, 2007

Hard to believe I've been using this thing for about 2 years and never wrote a review. I bought it to augment a receiver/transmitter pair. The receiver sits in a closed in closet with my equipment. The transmitters sit around various rooms in the house. They work. I have not had any problem with any of them.

By R. Ballantyne I have 3 transmitters and one receiver. Here's how I set it up: plug in receiver and point it at the AVR. Test to make sure it pointed correctly and it was on the first try. Then I placed the transmitters in their respective zones. Point the remote at a transmitter and it works. It couldn't have been easier.

By Mike I was a little skeptical about how they would really work. I turned my shed into a ManRoom for the winter to get away for a bit and smoke a cigar while watching TV. I didnt want to spend $$ on another cable box so I split my daughter connection and ran a line to she shed. I want to tell you this product is great. I is about 95 feet away and on the opposite side of the house. This transmitter sends signals from an outside shed to the upstairs room on the opposite side of the house without any delays or misconnections. It is amazing. I just wish they sold these with different frequencies so that I can do this for another box I have. I hate giving the cable company more and more money every year.
Easy to install and setup. Work perfectly Dec 22, 2011
By Elliott P. Your gear is in one room and you need to control it from another? Here ya go. You can control anything that uses infra red remote control technology.
I have one receiver with multiple ins and outs and speakers in two rooms. I ran speaker wire through the wall in the living room into the media closet of the home theater room and was able to connect the living room speakers to the receiver and control the input settings and volume from the living room with a spare remote control that I had. You just plop one pyramid in the living room and the other in where ever your device resides. Using radio waves, it takes the infrared signal from your remote, converts it to radio frequency and sends it to the other pyramid which then converts the RF back to IR and flashes the signal to your device. It's that simple. No special connections to your equipment or anything. You just plug them into the wall, make sure that there is some kind of line of sight to your device (either directly or reflected) and you're good.
I think I'm going to put one in the bedroom so I can turn down the volume on my daughters TV without having to get out of bed and go yell at her.
I really like these. They do what they say and are dead simple to install.

By don This product works great and saves a monthly cost for an additional cable box. It will require a receiver, however, it's well worth it.
